What is it?
This two-day entry level course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. Our inland course focuses on low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed, and collision regulations.

Who is it for? This course is suitable adults and young people aged 14 and over. All young people under the age of 18 must be booked with an adult.

Are there any pre-requisites? None, however, this course may be proceeded by the RYA Level 1 Start Powerboating course although not essential.

How much does it cost? £216 per person, with 3 participants per course.

What should I bring?
We will provide all the equipment including all personal safety equipment. We recommend appropriately gripped water shoes or trainers, light sportswear trousers/shorts, a waterproof/windproof jacket and waterproof trousers, additional top layers and of course, spares of everything. Please also bring a passport photo for your certification - this is very important.

Do I get a certificate? Included in the cost of the course, you will receive an internationally recognised certificate of competence.
